Equine Shiatsu Training
There
is as yet no recognised governing body for Equine Shiatsu.
Anyone can set themselves up as a trainer or practitioner
of Shiatsu. This is not a good thing. Students must be trained
by someone who has your highest interest, and the horses
highest interest, at heart.
When
choosing a trainer for equine Shiatsu, may I advise that
you talk to many other horsey people to hear their experiences.
Just because a teacher has been teaching for years, does
that mean that he or she is good at it. Check out the equine
forums to hear peoples stories. This will help you to avoid
the possibility of wasting your time and money.
In
my view the School of Equine Shiatsu seem to be getting
it right. They are experienced, professional and are looking
at the whole spectrum of learning and qualities that are
required to become a good equine Shiatsu practitioner. They
are also working towards there being a governing body for
Equine Shiatsu.
